2:00 – 4:00 Annual Rules Committee Meeting
In an effort to better hear the collective voice of our membership, the 2008 annual rules committee meeting will be held on-site at the Sheraton prior to the banquet. This meeting is open to all members of the organization. All rules changes to be considered at the meeting must be submitted in writing on or before Friday, January 4th, 2008.

PLEASE NOTE: New ideas presented at this meeting not submitted in writing prior to the deadline cannot be given consideration. The proposed changes resulting from the meeting will be discussed to create a list of suggestions for the Board of Directors to consider at the regular February board meeting.

Have you been running a KCBS contest for years? Are you planning your first KCBS contest? Would you like to network with your peers in the world of Contest Organizers? If you can answer YES to any of those questions, the KCBS Contest Organizers Roundtable is for you! If you are a contest organizer and would like to discuss the following topics: Sanctioning and KCBS Involvement; Sponsors, and how to get them; Judges, and how to get (or get rid) of them; Promotions; Contestant hospitalilty; PR and advertising; Volunteers and committees; prizes; security and crowd control or to share ideas with other organizers...

KCBS AWARDS BANQUET
4:00 – 6:00: Raffle Tickets for Contest Entries sold outside banquet room (no tickets will be sold after 6:00)
6:00: Cocktails in Main Banquet Room
7:00: Welcome & introduction

7:15: Contest Entry Raffle Winners Announced (winners will be chosen using same system as last year, but will be done prior to winners being announced to speed process up. Certificates will be distributed after TOY awards to winners.)
7:45: Election Results Announced
8:00: KCBS Announcements
8:15: President’s Address
8:30: Team Of The Year Awards
9:00-11:30: Music and Dance by “Platinum Express
BUFFET SELECTION
The buffet includes Chicken Piccata, Sliced KC Striploin with Wild Mushroom sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, tri-color pasta with alfredo sauce, green beans sautéed with bacon and onions, house salad with accompaniments, assorted rolls, cobblers, cookies, cake, crème brulee, coffee & tea.
RESERVATIONS
The cost is $35 per person, Kids 12 and under are $14.00.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RESERVE AN ENTIRE TABLE, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! We will have tables of 8 and tables of 10. If you would like to purchase an entire table, you would need to send in $280 and the names of eight people for a table of eight; if you would like a table of ten, you would send in $350 and the names of ten people. Send your list and ALL funds in TOGETHER. There will be assigned seating and we’ll do our best to accommodate everyone; however, once seating arrangements have been made, they will not be changed.

The deadline for banquet reservations is January 11, 2008–NO EXCEPTIONS.
The Sheraton - Sports Complex is the "official" place to stay while in town for the banquet and is located at I-70 & Blue Ridge Cutoff by Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums. Attendees may phone in their reservation requests to the following number, 1-877-425-2746. It is important that you identify yourself as part of the Kansas City Barbeque Society (group name) to be able to take advantage of the $75.00 rate. Reservations must be made by 12/29/2007 12:00 a.m. to guarantee the availability of this rate.
