April 28, 2010If your team is competing for a Brisket Champion title this season, then you might want to choose your competitions wisely. The Rancher’s Reserve Beef Cup Points Chase has selected nine contests where it will add additional money to the event’s prize purse. And if you do well all season long, your team could end up $5,000 richer!
The rules are simple. Rancher’s Reserve is providing 15-pound briskets for every team competing at the nine contests. To register, teams just need to pick up their brisket at the onsite Rancher’s Reserve delivery truck and use it for their entry in the contest. If they win first, second or third place in brisket at any of the nine events, they’ll receive an additional $750, $500 or $250, respectively. Plus, they’ll earn points each time they participate in a Rancher’s Reserve Beef Cup contest. The top three point-getters at the end of the season earn prizes of $5,000, $2,500 or $1,000 at the KCBS Annual Membership Banquet.
“This is a great opportunity for our teams to earn some extra prize money on the competitive circuit,” said KCBS Executive Director Carolyn Wells. “We are always looking for ways to reward our teams at individual contests and through programs like the Rancher’s Reserve Beef Cup Points Chase. I believe our member teams will really enjoy this new level of competition we’re introducing this season, and I can’t wait to see who steps up to win the challenge.”
