Kansas City Barbeque society announces new Visa credit cardDecember 3, 2010 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Barbeque Society is giving members a new way to tout their barbeque pride.
Through a partnership with Visa and UMB Bank, the KCBS will launch its new credit card in 2011.
“We wanted members to have a way to proudly show off their membership,” Carolyn Wells, Executive Director of the KCBS, said. “What better way than by putting the KCBS front and center in their wallet.”
According to Wells, proceeds from the credit card will be used to further promote the sport and the organization.
KCBS and UMB Bank will offer members five different designs to choose from, two of which will be designed by MMA Creative, the official agency of the KCBS.
“We are excited to be a part of this new opportunity with KCBS,” said Mike McCloud, President and CEO of MMA Creative. “What makes KCBS unique is the members that make up the organization, which is why we are asking them to design three of the cards.”
The graphics for the three remaining cards will be chosen from designs created and submitted by KCBS members. Members can submit their designs at http://www.kcbs.us/creditcard.php Dec. 1-31. The winning designs will be announced at the 25th Anniversary Banquet set for January 13-14, 2011 in Kansas City, Mo. In addition to having their designs featured on the KCBS credit cards, the winning designers will each receive a $100 Sam’s Club gift card.
