February 9, 2011 Twenty-four short hours ago the floodgates opened as BBQ’ers across the country raced to the KCBS website in search of The Inaugural Sam's Club National BBQ Tour registration page.On a normal day, the KCBS website has around 11,000 pageviews on the entire site. In the 24 hours since registration began, there have been over 15,000 pageviews to The Inaugural Sam's Club National BBQ Tour page alone; the KCBS website (including The Inaugural Sam's Club National BBQ Tour page) received over 53,000 pageviews.
Within the first 24 hours of registration, 477 teams registered and confirmed for an event in The Inaugural Sam's Club National BBQ Tour; leaving 123 openings open for registration.
Registration is closed for the Memphis, Tenn. and the Evergreen Park, Ill. events. Nine other events have waitlist eligibility; the remaining nine events are still accepting team registrations.
