KCBS News FeedRancher's Reserve Kicks Off Their 2011 Beef Cup Points Chase
April 14, 2011 Last year, Rancher’s Reserve made sweet barbeque history by offering the Kansas City Barbeque Society’s first beef points chase and prize purse and it’s returning for a second season.This year, the Rancher’s Reserve Beef Cup will be featured at nine events across the country and will offer teams the chance to showcase their culinary creativity!
As an additional category featuring Top Sirloin (a.k.a. Top Butt), the Rancher’s Reserve Beef Cup will offer up $27,400 in additional prize money – for grilling up your favorite top sirloin recipe!
Teams must register on the KCBS website three (3) weeks prior to the event to be eligible for the points chase. When you register for the program, you can select the amount of sirloin you want for the points chase evetns. This will ensure the product is available at the participating Safeway retailer (save your receipt – it must be presented at the event to qualify). The Beef Cup's first event is in Morgan Hill, Calif. at the Morgan Hill No Bull BBQ Cook-off. Registration for this first event will be open until April 22. Make sure to secure your spot today by registering online!
