Old Dominion Smokehouse takes home Sam’s Club title in Virginia

Thank you to all the teams, judges, members and supporters that came out and helped to make the Chesapeake, Va. contest and Inaugural Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour a blazing success!

Scoring major bragging rights and KCBS Team of the Year points, Old Dominion Smokehouse took home Grand Champion and a check for $2,500. Fatbacks BBQ and Rib Shack was named Reserve Grand Champion, earning $1,000.

Congratulations to the following teams for finishing first in specific categories:

• Chicken – Old Dominion Smokehouse
• Brisket – Checkered Pig
• Pork – Fatbacks BBQ and Rib Shack
• Ribs – Checkered Pig

The following teams earned a spot at the Regional Event in Laurel, Md. on Sept. 30-Oct. 1, 2011:
