May 28, 2012 Cooked on a Pitmaker takes home Sam’s Club title in Austin

Thank you to all the teams, judges, members and supporters that came out and helped make the Austin, Tex., contest and Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour a blazing success!

Scoring major bragging rights and KCBS Team of the Year points, Cooked on a Pitmaker took home Grand Champion and a check for $2,000. Ritter's BBQ was named Reserve Grand Champion, earning $1,500.

Congratulations to the following teams for finishing first in specific categories:

• Chicken – Porky's Revenge 
• Brisket – Ritter's BBQ
• Pork – Sweet Heat Competition BBQ 
• Ribs – Blazen BBQ

The following teams earned a spot at the Region 2 Final in St Charles, MO on Sept 29.
