In Open Session the following statement was made:
The decision of the BOD was for a one strike option where any further error from this point on when verified will result in termination as a KCBS contest rep.. There was a great concern by the BOD regarding communication between the Lopp’s and the organizer of their assigned contests and the KCBS office.
The motion approved by the BOD is as follows:
For all assigned contests remaining in 2012, I move that the reps in question be alerted that any verifiable error in contests to follow this meeting result in their withdrawal from the rep corps. All added expenses for prior contests in question (Williams, AZ, Santa Clara, CA, and Oakland, CA be reimbursed to KCBS by the end of the year. Failure to reimburse the KCBS office by December 31, 2012 will result in termination as a rep.
The motion carried.
KCBS Rep Chair Mark Simmons was asked by the BOD to notify Dave and Lori Lopp of the decision.
Please understand that you are on watch. As the contest rep chair, I strongly urge you to gain a thorough understanding of the rep manual and follow it meticulously, be scrupulously vigilant about communication with your organizers, other reps, the KCBS office and any other contacts made with members of the BOD, and perform your responsibilities as a KCBS contest rep with a great attitude.
