Pig Skin BBQ takes home Sam's title in Des Moines

Thank you to all the teams, judges, members and supporters that came out and helped make the Des Moines, IA, contest and Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour a blazing success!

Scoring major bragging rights and KCBS Team of the Year points, Pig Skin BBQ took home Grand Champion and a check for $2,000. Templeton Rye Woodfellas was named Reserve Grand Champion, earning $1,500.

Congratulations to the following teams for finishing first in specific categories:

• Chicken – Big Creek BBQ
• Brisket – Smokey D's Wannabees
• Pork – Honeybadger BBQ
• Ribs – Smokin O BBQ

The following teams earned a spot at the Region 4 Final in Rockford, IL on Aug. 4.
