OLD/NEW BUSINESS:

Motion -  Candy Weaver:  I move that when a contest application arrives in the KCBS office, if there are no conflicts, the contest be approved and posted to the events section of the web page right away. In the event of conflicts, responsible office staff reports to the Sanctioning committee of the board of the conflict and the contest is marked "TENTATIVE" on the web page until the conflict is resolved.

Motion - Mike Budai:  I move that responsibility for all contest sanctioning be made by the KCBS office. The Sanctioning Committee will provide the board at the regularly scheduled meetings a monthly report detailing all contests sanctioned. Any scheduling conflicts will be resolved by the Sanctioning Committee and reported to the board when necessary.

Motion - Randy Bigler; Seconded by Jeff Stith:  In regards to KCBS Rule number 10, under pork, motion is made that the sentence "At no time shall the meat once separated be returned to a cooker" be stricken from the rules effective immediately.

Items tabled from January meeting:  Proposal for KCBS to advertise on two competition results sites -- bbqrace.com and compbbq.com  (i.e.  Motion that KCBS advertise on CompBBQ.com (or Scordcard.com) and BBQrace.com, with clear language that results found on these sites are not the official KCBS results for ToY - Candy Weaver.  Any consideration for a fee should be discussed in Executive Session)

Member Survey:  This has not be updated since presented to the board for consideration a couple of months ago. At that time, it was offered as a ballot addition. Opinion was that this should not be on the ballot to prevent member confusion.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

Motion - Candy Weaver:   Motion that, based on having completed training, a previous contest rep-in-training be accepted, effective immediately.

The Perfect Performance!
