Swamp Boys take Sam's title in Tampa

Thank you to all the teams, judges, members and supporters that came out and helped make the Tampa, FL, contest and Sam’s Club National BBQ Tour a blazing success!

Scoring major bragging rights and KCBS Team of the Year points, Swamp Boys took home Grand Champion and a check for $2,000. Blitzkrieg BBQ was named Reserve Grand Champion, earning $1,500.

Congratulations to the following teams for finishing first in specific categories:

• Chicken – Great Lakes BBQ & Feed Co
• Brisket – Swamp Boys
• Pork – Kathleen Roadkill
• Ribs – Sho Gud Barbeque

The following teams earned a spot at the Regional in Hendersonville, TN on Sept. 14.
