KCBS Challenge Grants

The application period for 2016 KCBS Challenge Grants is now closed.

Overview

The Kansas City Barbeque Society makes a limited number of charitable grants each year to support organizations or events that (a) extend KCBS’s mission to celebrate, teach, preserve and promote barbeque as a culinary technique, sport and art form or (b) complement and/or enhance the reputation, image, and ideals of The Kansas City Barbeque Society. Grant awards will not exceed $5,000.

Application Procedure

Interested organizations or event sponsors should download and complete the Application Form (.doc).

Application Submission

Completed applications must be submitted by email to philanthropy@kcbs.us by 11:59 pm on April 29, 2016. Late applications will not be considered.

A copy of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt letter, if applicable, saved in PDF format, should also be attached to the email message.

Review Process

Please note that the KCBS Philanthropy Committee will evaluate each application before any grants are awarded. The KCBS Board of Directors will make the awards. All decisions are final.

Notification Process

Each applicant will be notified of the status of their application by June 30, 2016.
