Nick, Mark Shniderson, Ken Hassig and Rob Young are Pork Fiction. The team started like many others. Buddies who like bbq and beer started messing around in the backyard, friends and family liked the Q and the rest is history. The team went through a couple of team names and a few other members before these guys settled on the team that is today Pork Fiction. We tend to gravitate toward the smaller contests with the Paola Roots Festival being our favorite. We enjoy the competition but also always look forward to entertaining friends and family on the Friday nights before the actual contests. When the Friday crowd clears, we enjoy good music, good cigars, cold beer and especially the comradarie before getting down to business on Saturday. See you all on the BBQ trail. If you happen to see our banner on a Friday evening stop by and ask for one of famous bacon wrapped dove and/or pheasant with a slice of jalapeno.
