Smokin J's BBQ was formed when Brett Pierce ignored the request of John Comet to join the "Broken Ribs." Feeling left out, John gathered the brightest minds and talents available to from Smokin J's BBQ. There is a Lawyer, a Doctor, a Painter and a Chef. With no practice time available, our team showed up for our inaugural event, two hours late with only the desire to compete. When the smoke cleared hours later Smokin J's BBQ walked away with 1st place trophies in Brisket and Ribs and a 2nd place finish overall. Looking into the eyes of Pierce, you knew what everyone knew..."We caused the Broken Ribs."
