Our experience in BBQ began doing "pit style" Pig Roasts in Connecticut more than 25 years ago. Our history and background can be viewed at www.bhebbq.com . Seven (7) years ago we started competing. We are a member of the New England BBQ Society (NEBS) and participated in KCBS Judges Training in 2009. In 2013 our Fund Raising has focused on Alzheimer?s Research (having done the annual Fighting Alzheimer's Pig Roast in Westfield MA for 9 years).

Our BBQ Catering is well known and we provide Pig Roasts, and BBQ for weddings, graduations, birthdays etc. We have our own hand crafted sauces and rubs that have attracted a small following. We are Serve Safe credentialed and certified to judge in both MBN and KCBS events

Most wins in a year: 5 Calls in 2013

Biggest Wins: In 2009 we began entering KCBS events. In 2011, at the Harvard Fall Festival Grilling contest our Chicken placed 2nd of 35 teams, and we placed 11th in Ribs at the KCBS event out of 57 Teams. In 2013 we earned 3rd in People?s Choice Chili and 5th in KCBS Chicken and our Brisket placed 3rd. In the Greenfield Riverfest BBQ and Music Festival in October we received a 10th in Brisket and a 5th in Ribs.

We started competition by entering Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) events in 2008 where we final-ed in Whole Hog and took 2nd place in that category. In North Haverhill NH (MBN) in 2011 our team won the MBN New England People?s Choice Award and placed in the top 5 in whole hog, ribs and shoulder.
