Larry Lofland is a career firefighter in the DC Metro area. He along with his wife Shelly and their best friends began researching, testing, and of course tasting endless BBQ. Unfortunately in the middle of all of the trials, Larry was injured while on the job. Bored out of his mind while on disability, he and Dale came up with a plan to move their plans forward. They built a homemade BBQ grill just one week before the Maryland BBQ Bash, and placed 31st overall in their first competition. Since then, nothing butt striving to improve their BBQ.
