When JD McGee of South Paw BBQ and Brian Moriarty of Midnight Ramblers BBQ joined forces in 2009, Left Hand Smoke "Fire it up!" Competition BBQ team was born! In 2010 Left Hand Smoke was awarded Pacific Northwest BBQ Association Team of the Year and won 5 GC Qualifying events and was the Oregon draw for the Jack Daniels BBQ Championship Invitational. JD formed Wine Country Q in 2011 and was named PNWBA TOY. Current team members include Ty Staley, Bennett Moriarty and Michael Stevenson
