The Hoosier Crawdaddy BBQ team, from Straughn Indiana, was started in 2005 by Doug & Debbie Searcy as an amateur backyard BBQ cooking team
looking to have some fun. After a couple of contests with increasing success and of course bragging rights in the backyard division, we thought with success like this why not make some money with this by entering into some of the professional BBQ contests. So in the fall of 2006, carrying our homemade smoker we went head first into our first professional BBQ competition. Not surprisingly we got our Big Pork Butts spanked. Did we get discouraged? No Way We just knew there was more to learn and better Q to make. We believe you can do anything if you really want to, so with a sense of humor we strive to make our BBQ the best.
