Rowdy Pig BBQ is the culmination of years of backyard cooking and entertaining family and friends. The world of BBQ has brought good times filled with joy to me and my family. Prior to 2013 I cooked on an old vertical OK Joes smoker a good friend handed down to me. Along with a New Braunfels offset and a Caja China they served me well. It wasn't until I went to a KCBS comp in Clarksville, TN and met Troy Frasarand and introduced me to the world of competitive BBQ that I decided it was time to upgrade cookers. So I found a Lang 84 in Alabama and me and my son went and purchased the cooker and Rowdy Pig BBQ was born and we haven't looked back since. Our first contest was a local county fair with a peoples choice award for pork and a blind judging of the ribs. We didn't get a call in the rib category but won the pork category. Being as it was people's choice I was extremely proud and needless to say was hooked! We have since won it the past two years in a row! Hopefully this is just the beginning to a long successful competitive BBQ career!
