Rod & Sheri Gray, Pellet Envy, are the 2009 Kansas City Barbeque Society Team of the Year National Champions. They teach, promote and cater barbeque as America's cuisine. Rod and Sheri are extremely passionate about barbeque and outdoor cooking. Traveling nearly 40,000 miles and visiting 33 states in 2009, Pellet Envy competed in 34 events across the country and were awarded nine Grand Champions and three Reserve Grand Champions during the season. Over 7,000 teams competed in KCBS sanctioned events in that year. How does a team follow up a successful year like 2009? By winning seven more events and being award Reserve Grand Champion six times to be the runner up KCBS Team of the Year in 2010.
Rod and Sheri have competed in over 250 events all across the country in the last nine years. In 2008 and again in 2009, Pellet Envy won more championships than any other team. They are also the only team to receive awards in all five team of the year categories both of the last two seasons.
