Team Bio:
Born and raised in the heart of Alberta, the love of BBQ just came natural to us. It was with that love and the competitive nature of all our team members that we decided to take our back yard parties into the competition world. Armed with a classically French culinary background, pit master Matt Lucas hit the road with another team to learn the ropes. Competing across Canada and traveling to the Deep South, the addiction to true BBQ (low and slow) took hold. After two seasons of traveling it was time for Cornerstone BBQ to stand on its own… And did we ever, placing in every event we entered as well as taking home the Jon Lord’s “Lords of the grill” rookie award.
